About Me

I am a mechanical engineering student at Arizona State University and Barrett, The Honors College, with interests in thermal systems, mechanical testing, product development, semiconductor equipment, and advanced manufacturing. My experience includes semiconductor manufacturing, robotic automation, mechanical design, prototyping, Arduino integration, and hands-on validation testing.

I have always wanted to make the most of the opportunities available to me and challenge myself beyond the minimum requirements of my degree. That motivation led me to join Barrett and the Grand Challenges Scholars Program, pursue additional coursework, and take on projects that have strengthened both my technical and professional skills. I enjoy applying what I learn to real problems, improving through each project, and continually pushing myself to become a more capable and well-rounded engineer.

I am currently seeking a Summer 2027 mechanical engineering internship where I can contribute, continue learning, and gain deeper experience in design, testing, manufacturing, energy, or aerospace systems.

I am pursuing a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, with an expected graduation date of May 2028. My studies have introduced me to mechanical design, thermal systems, manufacturing, testing, and analytical problem-solving. Thermodynamics has been my favorite course so far because, although challenging, it gave me a deeper understanding of energy transfer and its applications in areas such as sustainable technology.

Barrett is an academically challenging honors program completed alongside my degree that emphasizes curiosity, research, communication, and interdisciplinary thinking. Barrett has encouraged me to explore ideas beyond the standard engineering curriculum and become more comfortable presenting, as well as defending my work. During my senior year, I will complete an honors thesis with guidance from a faculty thesis director and committee member. The project will conclude with a formal defense and committee approval, giving me experience managing a substantial independent project from initial research through final presentation.

The Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP)

GCSP is an additional scholars program concurrent with my degree. The program requires achieving an individualized path around a chosen global challenge and demonstrating success in five core competencies: Talent, Multidisciplinary, Entrepreneurship, Multicultural, and Social Consciousness. I chose sustainability as my central theme because I am interested in how engineering can improve energy systems, resource use, and quality of life. Through research projects involving sustainable environmental practices and implementing new technology, I have gained experience considering not only whether a solution works technically, but also whether it is affordable, accessible, practical, and valuable to the people using it.
